Report back from a trip to North Korea
DIASPORIC SPARKLE : KEEP-D Report Back
In August 2013, a peace delegation of Korean Americans traveled to north Korea and met with farmers, workers, students, youth league members, visited Mount Baekdu, traveled to the DMZ, and more.
Come hear about their experiences and see images from their trip, on which they also brought medical aid to hospitals. Refreshments served.
KEEP-D stands for Korea Exposure and Education Program - DPRK. This year's trip was the 10th delegation sent to north Korea by the KEEP program. KEEP sends young Korean Americans to both sides of the Korean peninsula in a people-to-people effort at peace-building, reconciliation and understanding.
Sponsored by the Hunter College Asian American Studies Program, and the KEEP program.
