Free Screening of Documentary "In Transition 2.0"
Resilience NYC Meetup is hosting a free screening of the documentary "In Transition 2.0" on Monday, June 9, at 7 PM, at Coffeed Cafe. Located at 37-18 Northern Blvd., LIC, NY 11101, near the 36th St. stop on R & M trains, Coffeed is just a few minutes from midtown Manhattan, downstairs from Brooklyn Grange. No charge to attend. Free homemade pastries and coffee provided. It will be followed by facilitated discussion about themes in the film.
In Transition 2.0 is the latest full length film about the Transition movement. It's about how Transition groups around the world are responding to the challenges of depleting and costly energy resources, financial instability and environmental change. http://www.transitionnetwork.org/transition-2
The events are organized by Dan Miner, familiar to the Queens business community as the former SVP of Long Island City Partnership - but also a longtime environmental activist. Now working as District Manager at Manhattan Community Board 6, Miner's volunteer projects are Resilience NYC Meetup, www.meetup.com/resiliencenyc, and www.beyondoilnyc.org.
