Two in custody after shooting On Sunday, June 14, in front of 129-4 Newport Avenue, police responded to a call of a male shot. Upon arrival, officers observed a 28-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded and took the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. There are two individuals in custody at this time, according to police, and the investigation is ongoing. 102nd PRECINCT Apparent murder-suicide A husband fatally stabbed his wife before taking his own life in the couple’s Woodhaven home. Cops say Geraldina Salazar, 51, was stabbed numerous times in the torso and neck by her husband, Eusebio, 76, on Sunday, June 14 inside the Jamaica Avenue residence. Eusebio then reportedly stabbed himself in the torso. Geraldina was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her husband was declared dead on the scene. It is unclear what triggered the violence. 105th PRECINCT Help find missing teen The police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a 16-year-old reported missing on Tuesday, June 9. Cops say that Stephen King was last seen leaving his 115th Road residence to go to the school bus stop. He is described as 5'8", 170 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black and white hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. 110th PRECINCT 15-year-old pronounced dead On Friday, June 12, in front of 96-10 57th Avenue, police responded to a report of a male unconscious and unresponsive at the location. Upon arrival they found a 15-year-old, identified as Maurice Torou, lying on the street. E.M.S. responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. No signs of criminality are suspected at this time. An investigation is ongoing. |
