Fatal crash on L.I.E. service road

A taxi struck the rear of a parked Freightliner flatbed along the Long Island Expressway service road eastbound at Greenpoint Avenue in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 23, killing 25-year-old Kenneth Forkey, who reports claim was headed to Florida with his 24-year-old fiancee to visit his parents. Upon impact, the trailer actually reached the rear of the taxi, say police.
