The Valentine’s Back in the Day Concert will be held at the York College Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 14.




The performance will feature Christopher Williams, Jeff Redo and Johnny Kemp. There will also be a special performance by Chubb Rock.

General admission is $45.

“Risas Y Ritmo”

“Risas Y Ritmo: Where Latin Comedy & Salsa Music Meet” will be held at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 14.

The performance will feature Rich Ramirez, Joey Villagomez, Ruberto Vanderpool and Mark Viera. Grupo Caribe, a seven-piece Latin band, will be playing salsa, bachata, and meringue.

Tickets are $25.

“Stitching Stories of the Underground Railroad”
Queens Historical Society
Sunday, February 15


In celebration of Black History Month, the Queens Historical Society will present “Stitching Stories of the Underground Railroad” at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 15.

The presentation will be conducted by teaching artists Joan Hodges. She “will explain the importance of making and using quilts on Underground Railroad routes north to freedom during the Civil War.”

The event will be held at Kingsland Homestead, which is located at 143-35 37th Avenue in Flushing. It is free with admission to the homestead or $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and students and free for children under 10.
