Investigate DOA

On Monday, June 22, police respond to a 9-1-1 call of an unconscious person at 106-53 150th Street.




Upon arrival they found a man in his 20s unconscious and unresponsive. EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene. A medical examiner will determine cause of death, and an investigation is ongoing.

109th PRECINCT

Fireworks bust

On Wednesday, June 17, members of the NYPD Organized Crime Control Bureau who were conducting fireworks surveillance, arrested two men after stopping their vehicle at 20th Avenue and the Whitestone Expressway.

According to police, Karl H. Jurgensen, 44, and Fred M. Masso, 35, both of East Islip, were transporting fireworks in a 2004 Ford Explorer. Recovered from the vehicle were approximately 42 cases of fireworks.

Both men face charges of unlawful possession of fireworks and unlawful dealing of fireworks.

Men beat, rob female

Just after 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, a Korean woman was followed by four or five “male Hispanics” in a black, four-door sedan, after she got off the Q30 bus. They allegedly struck her in the face and then took her back pack, gold bracelet and other property.

Arrest in murder

Alexys Fermaintt, 30, of the Bronx, has been arrested and charged with murder in the second degree for allegedly stabbing Michael Pecora, 38, to death in his Forest Hills apartment on Wednesday, June 18.

According to reports, Pecora’s cell phone was with a cab driver, who reportedly led police to Fermaintt, who Pecora allegedly met online.
