‘Magical, Musical Moments' IX Beari Productions’ ninth version of their popular “Magical, Musical Moments” has come a long way from the original, presented in 1997. This weekend’s “Magical, Musical Moments IX: Back To Basics” featured a larger, but still well-dressed, cast of mostly younger performers, who sang and danced with unbridled energy. Da Nang, a city with an historic past As I walked over a bridge in Da Nang, I noticed that every store had carved signs in the same color, making me think the town has its own zoning rules to preserve its charm. Stu collects historic ship models, and for his birthday I had bought him one that came with a stamp “Made in Vietnam.” I never expected to see it for sale in Vietnam, because I rarely find what is exported. March 3rd, 2010 After a 16-hour nonstop flight from New York to Hong Kong, our adventure began. If you have visited Manhattan or downtown Flushing, you have visited this magical city. New York Families for Autistic Children (NYFAC) created a very special harmony as they honored outstanding citizens in a symphony of support for special kids. March 1st, 2010 COMPILED BY VICTOR G. It is simple to make and as delicious to look at as it is to eat. Basically, it is jam sandwiched between two layers of buttery dough. However, it is so much more than that. Besides being delicious, this recipe has many recipe virtues – it is quick and easy to make – it is tolerant and it is versatile. What more could you ask for? The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum in Long Island City preserves the legacy of Isamu Noguchi while giving the community a place to go to enjoy a garden in the city. February 24th, 2010 I’m all set packing my bags for a whirlwind trip to Southeast Asia. As travelers know, the challenge begins with deciding what to pack. By now I should be an expert, but being a minimalist is not in my nature. Since Stu and I will be on a cruise ship for 13 days and nights I chose to keep my wardrobe to black, white and one red pants suit. February 11th, 2010 From Sherlock Holmes in the late 1800s to…well, Sherlock Holmes in the early 2000s, people love a good mystery. Whether in book form, film, or theatre, nothing else comes close to intriguing a reader or an audience. Mysteries also engage television viewers.
